Before you go buying an iPhone, iPad, or Kindle Fire just to see how awesome your new Squarespace 6 responsive site looks on mobile devices, put your money back in your pocket or else you will need to come up with another excuse for these “must have” tech devices. Favicons are those cute little 16x16px images you see (depending on your browser) when visiting a website or saving a webpage to your navigation bar and bookmarking tool.
Squarespace even has a nice, easy to use tool that makes inserting favicons a snap. However, with all the new gadgets and mobile devices on the market, you need to think bigger. Like 57×57, 72×72, and 117×117 pixels bigger.
But first, let’s cover the steps to get the basic favicon uploaded to Squarespace.

Squarespace v.6 Follow-up using the iPhone
As a follow-up to the first post – Squarespace Version 6 preview, I booted up my sickly iPhone 3GS which only works while plugged in. And that is still not a guarantee the little bugger is going to last long. It can take several hours just to “wake” itself up for a paltry five minutes so I had to make it quick! (fortunately, my contract is done at the end of this month..but I digress.) And if anyone has any iPad screenshots, those would be great to see.

As of now, there’s not a mobile view of blog posts that’s any different from version 5. However, the fullscreen auto-play slide show does adapt to the screen size. Unfortunately, for some of us old folks, any wording is difficult to read.
