Squarespace has added a new Settings feature in Squarespace 6 that lets you choose how you want your blog post urls to look.
Goto Settings >> General
Just hover over the “?” to preview the options.
You will need to add “/” between months, day, year, and title or it will just combine the whole thing and look like gibberish! I tried it and sure enough, it’s not pretty without the backslash!

Many of the SEO experts recommend keeping your urls short and just using the post title (%t). However, if much of your content relies on dates, you may want to at least organize by month, year, and title. If you have a zillion posts, the subfolders can make browsing your content much easier.
