What is new with Squarespace 6?
It seems everytime I check out what’s going on at the Official Squarespace beta website, there’s always something new. In addition to the new info on Squarespace 6 Pricing plans, here are the latest feature updates along with a cool new video.

However, the most interesting (to me anyways) is the about page that features the Squarespace Team. Does anyone else notice something odd. Take yourself back to when Sesame Street was part of your daily repertoire and the melody of “One of these things is not like the others, One of these things just doesn’t belong, Can you tell which thing is not like the others By the time I finish my song?”…

Poor Krystyn
Seriously, where are the LADIES?!! I’m sure I’m not the only one to notice the lack of representation since they put Krystyn smack in the middle of this group of testosterone. Poor girl, I can’t even imagine! Call me sexist but I bet there would be less of a communications gap between the higher-ups and Squarespace developers/users if there were more women involved. Otherwise, it makes for a happy looking group. I will suggest that Jeffrey consider a retake, he’s not showing enough teeth and looks way too serious for this bunch! Of course I have no room to talk as picture taking day is just another way of using up a sick day in my world

Love your posts, Holly! Funny and informative. I busted out laughing when I scrolled down and saw Krysten’s pic right smack in the middle of the boys club.
Ha! That’s exactly the term I was looking for Sue – “Boys Club”!
Giggling at your comments about the ladies — we have more! You just checked out the site before all the pictures were added.
p.s. There is a better photo of me on the site now — that FPO one you have in this post looks like I have a giant head
That’s too funny! I sat there thinking the same thing (about your big ol head
…what a great tweet I could of made out of that! ) but couldn’t figure out what the deal was…now I see that yours is more of a close-up! To be fair, I probably should mention it’s not just Squarespace, but most tech / internet focused companies lack the female persuasion. And it starts young..it’s like pulling teeth trying to get girls to join many of the science/technology homeschool groups (yeah, we’re one of THOSE families!) like Lego Robotics League and Computer Science. Ironically, the ones that do join are usually the best problem solvers in the group.
Thanks for leaving the comment and having a sense of humor about the whole thing
BTW- Either you just added come cred to this blog or you lost of some of yours
I hear you! Fortunately for me, I grew up not knowing any different. My aunt became an exec at IBM in the 80′s, so I always had a strong (and nerdy) female role model.
Today, our first female engineer joined our team! Watch out fellas.
p.s. Cred is over-rated!
